Pepper Show is Simply Magic!

The 21st Annual Pepper Rock festival, Pepper Magic, was held from 17th July – 25th July 2009 to raise funds for The Pepper Foundation and was once again an outstanding success!

The Pepper cast and crew put on another amazing show at Berkhamsted School featuring an eclectic mix of well-known musical numbers from artists such as Queen, Take That, Oasis, The Supremes, Tina Turner and ended with a medley which included a customary St Pepper track by the Beatles.  Highlights included a stunning rendition of ‘Nothing Compares to you' performed by Lucy Hodgins and a moving and timely tribute to Michael Jackson from Pepper Youth who performed ‘I Want you Back/ABC' to the delight of the audiences.  There was also a Grand Marquee with a pre and post performance band every night, a well-received selection of food, bar, and a silent auction and raffle with a fantastic array of prizes .

The show was performed by a talented group of adults as well as children selected from the local community known and the age of the children ranged from 8 years up to 18 - together they showcased an incredible array of talent through dance and singing which amazed and inspired everyone who went to see the show.

Pepper Founder, Robert Breakwell said: “ The 21 st annual Pepper Show, has been an amazing experience and it's been great to welcome a good number of new people as performers and organisers.  I'd like to congratulate the 300-strong team of people who contributed towards making the event such a success and thank everyone who bought a ticket and came along for a great night of magical music.  Every penny raised will go directly towards caring for some of the most sick and vulnerable children you can imagine'”.

Simply the Best

Early indications suggest that the show has raised in the region of £40,000 which is a great achievement and a testament to all of the hard work put into the show by the dedicated volunteers who make up the cast and crew of the Pepper Show!
